Gloucestershire runs from Cheltenham’s Regency streets, down through Stroud’s valleys, to the Severn Vale and the edge of the Forest of Dean. So no two weddings I photograph here look the same. I work with whatever light and setting the day gives me, rather than a fixed shot list. How I work
I keep a small kit and stay close to the day, rather than directing it. So guests forget the camera is there after the first half hour. Group photographs still happen, but they’re kept short, because the rest of the day gives far more honest material to work with.

Do you photograph weddings across the whole of Gloucestershire?
I do, covering Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Gloucester and Cirencester. Villages further out, toward the Forest of Dean, are covered on request.
Is your photography style posed or documentary?
It’s documentary-led throughout the day. Only the group photographs are briefly arranged, so most of what you get back is unposed.
