As a Gloucestershire wedding videographer, I cover the whole county. My range runs from the Cotswold edge above Cheltenham to the Severn Vale below Tewkesbury. Every film is unscripted, because that’s what couples remember once the day is over.
Weddings across the county
Gloucestershire covers more ground than the Cotswolds alone, though the two do overlap. I’ve filmed on the hilltop at Tewkesbury Park, looking out over the Severn Valley. The county gives just as much range beyond it: Cheltenham’s Regency terraces, Stroud’s wooded valleys, Cirencester’s market square and the quieter country toward the Forest of Dean. Each setting changes the light and the pace of a film. So I adapt, rather than repeat the same shots from venue to venue.
A real Gloucestershire wedding film
At Tewkesbury Park, I filmed a wedding that moved from the ceremony room out onto the terrace. The Severn Valley stayed behind the couple for most of the afternoon, while the light held. How I film
I carry lightweight kit, so I can stay out of the way during the ceremony and speeches. I pick up on-camera audio, as well as the wider atmosphere of the room. Nothing is repeated for the camera. So the film holds the same nerves, laughter and noise that were actually there. A restaged moment never quite matches the real one.

How far in advance should I book?
Most couples book six to twelve months ahead. Dates do come free at shorter notice too, so it’s worth asking even if your wedding is close.
