Because it’s one person covering both formats, photography stays the priority throughout the day rather than splitting attention evenly.
Film comes in at set points — usually the ceremony and speeches — where I switch to video specifically to capture the sound.
We agree those moments in advance, so there’s no guesswork on the day.
When You Need a Separate Film Crew
Hybrid coverage can’t shoot continuous multi-angle video the way a dedicated crew can — I’m one person, not two.
If you want the ceremony filmed from several angles at once, or you’re planning a large, complex day, a separate videographer alongside me makes more sense.
I’ll tell you honestly if that’s the better fit for what you’re planning.
