Privacy Policy.
This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what rights you have over it. I’m Peter Haken, trading as Peter Haken Wedding Photography and Films, Studio 202, 266 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 7DL, and I’m the data controller for the information described here.
Information I collect.
When you make an enquiry through my contact form, I collect your name, contact details, wedding date and venue, and any details you share about the day. If you book, I also hold payment and contract information. I collect this to respond to your enquiry, deliver the service you’ve booked, and meet my legal obligations, such as keeping records for tax purposes.
Cookies and analytics.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it’s used, and embeds YouTube videos. Both can set cookies on your device. You’ll be asked to accept or decline these when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Necessary cookies that keep the site working are used regardless of your choice.
Who I share information with.
I don’t sell your information. I share it only with the services I use to run my business: Google Analytics and YouTube for the website, and Pixieset for gallery delivery. Payment is currently by bank transfer, so no payment processor holds your card details. Some of these services are based outside the UK, in which case they provide appropriate safeguards for handling your data.
How long I keep your information.
I keep enquiry details for 12 months if you don’t go on to book. For confirmed bookings, I keep contract and payment records for 6 years, to meet HMRC requirements, and wedding galleries for 2 years.
Your rights.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, and you can withdraw consent for anything based on consent, such as analytics cookies. To do this, contact me at hello@peterhaken.com. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy.
I’ll update this page if what I collect or how I use it changes. The version here is always the current one.
