Anahita & Mo’s Wadham College wedding
Anahita and Mo married at Wadham College, then took their guests down the Thames by boat. The day finished with an Iranian ceremony at Isis Farmhouse.
It was my first Oxford college wedding, and it moved through the city in a way few weddings do.

Morning by the Radcliffe Camera
The day started in the centre of Oxford. Mo and his groomsmen gathered on the steps of the Radcliffe Camera, in a mix of linen and tweed.
Because it’s a busy spot, I kept things quick and relaxed. Tourists wandered past while the group settled in.

A ceremony at Wadham College
Anahita arrived at Wadham with her bridesmaids, led in by a piper. It set the tone for a day full of character.
Inside the chapel, candlelight and dark wood kept everything calm and close. I worked quietly from the edges, so the vows stayed theirs.

Portraits through Radcliffe Square
After the ceremony, we walked the cobbled streets around Radcliffe Square. Portraits happened on the move, between college walls and summer light.
Anahita’s embroidered veil caught every bit of sun. Neither of them needed much direction; they just walked and talked.

A boat trip down the Thames
Next, everyone walked down to Folly Bridge, beside the Head of the River. Guests boarded a riverboat, waving to the crowds on the bridge.
The trip downstream gave everyone a breather between ceremonies. It’s also one of the most Oxford ways to travel to a reception.
An Iranian ceremony at Isis Farmhouse
The boat arrived at Isis Farmhouse, where Anahita and Mo held an Iranian ceremony outdoors by the river.
Guests laughed, clapped and filmed on their phones. Afterwards, they lined the path with rose petals for the exit.
Two ceremonies, two cultures and one long, sunny day. That mix is what made it so good to photograph.
