If you are looking for an analogue wedding photographer, this is not a fake film preset or a digital effect. The Analogue Edit uses real 35mm film alongside your main wedding photography coverage, creating selected frames with grain, softness, texture and a less polished feel.
What is the Analogue Edit?
The Analogue Edit adds 35mm film to my main wedding photography coverage. Most couples choose it as a selected film layer alongside the main digital gallery.
However, for the right wedding, I can also photograph the whole day on film by request. This suits couples who understand the slower pace, limits and character of analogue photography.
Because film has limits, it changes the way I work. I slow down, choose frames carefully and look for moments that benefit from grain, texture and imperfect light.
As a result, the final gallery gains a physical, imperfect layer. That might mean selected film frames, or it might mean a more complete analogue approach.
Why Add Real 35mm Film?
Film changes the pace. There are fewer frames, no instant preview and less room to overshoot. That makes the process slower, more deliberate and more selective.
For weddings, that can be a strength. It works best for atmosphere, portraits, quiet gestures, imperfect light, movement and frames that benefit from texture rather than precision.
My main coverage remains documentary and reliable, with film added where it has a purpose. The result is a wedding gallery with both clarity and character.
A 35mm Film Photographer Across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds

I am based in Oxford and regularly photograph weddings across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, Berkshire, Bristol, Cornwall and selected UK venues.
Film works best when it has a reason to exist. I use it for atmosphere, texture and slower frames that suit the setting, rather than as a gimmick added to every part of the day.
Why Film Works So Well
Digital photography gives the main coverage its reliability and range. However, film brings something different: restraint, texture and a less polished feel.
Because every frame is limited, the process becomes more deliberate. I use it where it makes sense, not constantly through the day.
The result is a small set of analogue images that sit alongside the main gallery and give the wedding another kind of atmosphere.
What This Style Suits
Analogue wedding photography works best for portraits, quiet details, morning atmosphere, evening light, movement, tables, hands, fabric, weather and the stranger in-between moments.
It is not a replacement for the main coverage. Instead, it adds a slower layer to the story.
The finished film images are scanned and included in your final gallery alongside the digital photographs.
Adding the Analogue Edit
The Analogue Edit is available as an optional extra at £450. It can be added to full-day wedding photography where the timings and setting suit the process.
