As a Wiltshire wedding photographer, I photograph weddings across Marlborough, Devizes, Chippenham, Salisbury, Swindon and the wider county, from country houses and barns to churches, gardens and rural estates.
I keep the photography relaxed and well organised, stepping in for family groups and portraits when needed while leaving the rest of the day free to unfold without constant direction.

Wiltshire has a strong mix of wedding venues, from country houses and private estates to barns, village churches, gardens and more relaxed outdoor celebrations.
I work around the pace and layout of each venue rather than following a fixed routine. That means keeping group photographs efficient, finding good opportunities for portraits and leaving plenty of space for the rest of the day to happen naturally.
My approach to wedding photography in Wiltshire is relaxed, observant and practical, with enough direction when it helps and very little interference when it does not.
From Salisbury to Marlborough and Devizes
Weddings across the county can feel very different. Salisbury brings historic city venues and churches, while Marlborough, Devizes and the surrounding villages offer country houses, estates, gardens and more rural celebrations.
Further north, Swindon and Chippenham add another mix of hotels, barns and countryside venues, often with guests travelling between several locations during the day.
I approach Wiltshire wedding photography around those differences, working with the venue, light and timings rather than trying to make every wedding look or feel the same.

Syrencot House near Salisbury is a good example of the kind of Wiltshire venue I enjoy working at, with the ceremony, gardens, reception spaces and evening celebrations all contained within one setting.

Full-Day Coverage Without a Rigid Schedule
Wiltshire weddings often involve several different parts of the day, from preparations and church ceremonies to drinks outside, speeches, portraits and evening celebrations.
I usually begin with the preparations and stay through to the dancing, adapting the coverage around the actual timings rather than working through a fixed list of photographs.
With full-day wedding photography, there is time for family groups and relaxed couple portraits while still covering the smaller moments happening around them.
Church Ceremonies and Weddings Across More Than One Location
Many Wiltshire weddings move between locations, with preparations at home or a hotel, a church ceremony in a nearby village and the reception taking place elsewhere.
I plan the photography around those transitions so there is enough time to cover arrivals, the ceremony, confetti and the journey into the reception without making the day feel rushed.
Where everything happens at one venue, the same principle applies: work around the natural flow of the wedding and keep unnecessary interruptions to a minimum.

Many Wiltshire weddings are planned across more than one location. I build the timings around the complete day so the ceremony, travel, confetti, reception and portraits can all be covered without unnecessary rushing.
Do you photograph multicultural and multi-part ceremonies?
Multicultural weddings often involve several traditions, ceremonies and important family moments. I work around the structure of the day and make sure those parts are properly covered without turning them into staged photographs.
What happens if most of the wedding is outdoors?
Outdoor ceremonies, garden receptions and marquee weddings work well with the way I photograph. I use the available light and surroundings while keeping an eye on changing weather and suitable alternatives if conditions change.
