Working With the Venue, Light and Weather
Wedding days rarely happen under perfect conditions. Rooms can be dark, ceremonies can be tight for space, gardens can disappear under rain and timings can change without warning.
I work with what the day gives me. That might mean using window light during preparations, finding a better position in a crowded ceremony room or making the most of a short break in the weather.
Many venues across the Cotswolds combine old buildings with outdoor spaces, so being able to adapt quickly matters. The photography should continue to feel natural whatever the conditions.
Family Photographs and Relaxed Couple Portraits
Family photographs still matter. I keep them organised and efficient, so you get the important combinations without spending a large part of the reception standing in a line.
Couple portraits are handled in much the same way. I usually take you away for a short walk or a few minutes somewhere quieter, using the available light rather than setting up complicated poses.
The result is a mix of natural moments and well-made portraits that sit comfortably together in the final gallery.
From Country Houses to Outdoor Celebrations
No two weddings need the same kind of coverage. Some are formal country house celebrations, while others are built around marquees, gardens, live music, village churches or a long meal with everyone gathered in one place.
I photograph each day around how it has actually been planned, rather than applying the same formula to every wedding. That gives the photographs more room to reflect the people, timings and character of the celebration.
My natural wedding photography approach works particularly well for relaxed countryside weddings where the day is allowed to develop at its own pace.

I photograph weddings throughout the Cotswolds, including Burford, Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Tetbury, Stroud, Moreton-in-Marsh and the surrounding villages.
Coverage includes country houses, barns, hotels, private estates, village churches, gardens and marquee weddings, as well as celebrations that move between several locations during the day.
